St. Anthony School in Oconto Falls is planning their annual Ice Fishing Derby.
This family event will be held Feb. 11 at the Eastside Beach in Oconto Falls.
Oconto Falls Eastside Beach is located adjacent to Main Street along the banks of the Oconto River in the northern part of the city.
The event will start at 7 a.m. and continue through 3 p.m. The entry fee is $3 per person.
There will be hot food, drinks and raffles for sale throughout the day.
Kids prizes will be given away beginning at 1 p.m.
Trophies will be awarded for the biggest bass, pike, crappie and pan fish in adult and youth categories.
The event is tailored for all ages.
"This is an excellent opportunity for families to spend time together and enjoy a fun outdoor event," said Rosemary Marifke, school principal. "We encourage families from Oconto Falls and surrounding communities to join us."
All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the school's operating expenses.
This year's event is being sponsored by several local businesses.
The gold sponsors, and biggest contributors to the event, are Sportsmen's Xchange, located in Stiles, and ST Paper LLC, located in Oconto Falls.
There are over 80 great prizes for the raffle this year, including a Frabill two-man, flip-over ice shack, cash and much more, thanks to the generosity of these local businesses.
All ages are welcome at this exciting family event.
