Delavan Lake - Ice conditions vary alot, the bays (lake lawn marina, viewcrest) are holding up with 5 to 6" of ice, some crappies & gills being reported. Bass up to 3 ponds and many pike in the 28-32" range caught on tip-ups smelt or golden shiners close to the bottom .Main lake ice varies and should be avoided
Lake Geneva - Geneva Bay was just getting safe ice & a few brave souls were out picking up some nice gills on Geneva Bay, I would recommend staying off what little ice remains for now. From the narrows west the lake has remained wide open, some anglers were spotted from the Fontana boat lauch jigging lake trout.
Madison Chain of Lakes- Ice varied greatly less than 5" to 6" they are still giving up numerous fish but most are pretty small with some really nice ones mixed in. I was out on Waubesa, Monona panfishing they were biting on Rat Finkies and Marmooskas and Tungston crystal jigs, on Squaw and Monona Bays with a half of limit over 8" out of 55 caught. The bass up to 3 ponds and many pike in the 28-42" range caught on tip-ups smelt or golden shiners on Lake Mendota saw perch anglers ou having success in the deep basin 68-71 fow on glow heli spoons and pencil/coathanger sinkers. Bluegills in University Bay
