Hey Guys!
Well with the warm weather we have had this last week the fishing has slowed down a little. Guys are still getting pike, good eating size, and other fishing has also slowed.
Pike have been hitting on the standard, golden shiners on a tip up. Swedish Pimples and spoons have also been working to catch a meal!
Walleye have been doing pretty well moving into the shallower water, with the cold weather setting in look for them to move back to the deeper holes. Tip ups with a shiner or sucker have been working well. Give Salmo Darters a try, have heard of a few fish on them!
Bluegills have been hitting on wigglers, waxies, and spikes in deeper weeds. A #8 or #10 jig have been the best!
Crappies are in the deepest water you can find. A tip down with a rosie or crappie minnow set suspended off the bottom have produced fish, but the crappie bite has been tough.
The freezing weather that's coming will give us some of the ice back that we lost and change the fishing action, hopefully for the better!
Thanks Guys and Good Luck,
Shane M.
