Early Season Tigers

Any of you guys have much experience chasin Tigers early season? I'm wondering if the Pike in them causes them to head to the shallows earlier than Pures might. This weather has really got me itchin to hit the water, just tryin to figure out where I might make my first trip of the season.

Most biologists say that the Tigers only spawn a degree or two sooner than the pures. I would not let that get me too worked up to fish them shallow based soley on water temps. I would still look at shallow cover on sunny/warmer afternoons if lake fishing.
