Hello Fishing Friends,
Were happy to say that March Madness is here "Walleye" that is. With all this warm weather in the Ohio region and steady 60/70 degree temperatures the Bite is on in the Western Basin of Lake Erie. Nice size Walleye from 3lb to 10lb are being caught in and around the reefs and near shore waters. We have seen mostly males but some big females are common on each trip. The biggest around 30 in. and 11lb. and the customer was surely having it mounted. Were using purple or black 3/4 oz. hair jigs tipped with minnows. We have noticed that there is a lite bite, meaning the walleye are taking the jig n minnow very lightly. We recommend a 6 ft medium lite action to medium rod no heavier spooled with fire line for added sensitivity. Give us a call to reserve your favorite dates. Capt. Ron
