Hey guys!
I got a chance to go out and hit the dams recently. Did pretty well at Grandmother Dam with a few legal walleyes and a lot of under size fish. Next we stopped at Prides. Nobody else fishing off of shore, but we counted 11 boats out there, most were catching smaller walleyes. We did ok there, 1 legal fish. After that we stopped at Kings, where it was shoulder to shoulder fishermen. I was told that we missed the bite by about a half an hour. Seen one guy there with some descent sized perch. We were using a #4 aberdeen hook tipped with a fathead and a splitshot about 16 inches up. Casting up into the current and bouncing it off of the top of the rocks as it drifted down river.
Haven't heard a whole lot on perch lately, but I was just told the crappies are picking up on Lake Alice the last couple of days. They were also using fatheads for them.
Good luck, and see you on the water!
