Here is the 2012 event list for the Bay de Noc Great Lakes Sport Fishing club. Due to the many activities, volunteers are always greatly appreciated. If you have a little time to spare, please contact the director of the event you would like to help with.
APRIL 28 - 4th annual Sportsman's flea market. Jones School in Gladstone. Contact Bill Myers 428-9039.
MAY 5 - Spring Perch Derby. Tournament director Chris Wahl 786-1488.
MAY 6 - Spring general membership meeting. Great Lakes Sport and Rec club.
JUNE 9 - Kids Fishing Day at Camp 7. Event director Dave Westerberg 786-3950.
JUNE 10 - Early Bird Walleye Tournament. Tournament director Kelly King 428-4299.
JUNE 16 - Angler Young Angler (AYA) tournament. Directors Jerry Plourde 420-0022 and Jon Creten 241-3229.
JUNE 23 - Big Bay Bass Tournament. Director Tom Polkey 474-6351.
JULY 4 - Club trailer will be in the Gladstone parade. Kids fishing pond after the parade. Larry Johnson 420-4420.
JULY 14 and 15 - Fairport Salmon Derby. Bob Therrian 238-4355.
JULY 22 - Kids fishing Derby in Ludington Park. Director Dave Westerberg 786-3950.
JULY 28 - Special Olympics Event at the DNR Pocket Park. Call Joyce Destamp 428-3323 or Don Shirley 233-9011.
AUGUST 12 - Wal-mart Bays Classic walleye tournament and kids fishing derby. Larry Johnson 420-4420.
SEPTEMBER 9 - Cabela's, Cliff D'Arcy Memorial Walleye Tournament. Director Kelly King 428-4299.
SEPTEMBER 22 - National Hunting and Fishing Day at the Great Lakes Sport and Rec club. Russ and Mary Nelson 786-4742.
In addition, the Board of Directors holds monthly meetings to conduct club business. The meetings are the second Tuesday of the month at the Mead Rod And Gun Club, at 7pm. Meetings are open to the public and general membership. Stop in some time to see what we are all about.
