I fished the narrows yesterday in my new boat and ended up wit 15 really nice perch.
I was fishing in 45 FOW useing perch rigs baited with minnows and wigglers. I did get
a couple on crawler pieces too.

Sounds like you're off to a good start in the new rig. Sure beats fishing off the dock, eh!
I ended up with 18 keepers, but had to weed through a lot of throw-backs, (at least 2 dinks for every keeper.) Also had a couple walleyes that would have been legal if the season was open. Lots of fun on the light perch gear! All on wigglers. I caught a couple fish that were barfing up chunks of crawlers, so I assume they were working, too.
Coolest thing I got to see was a bunch of seagulls fighting over a small walleye that wasn't able to get back down to the deep water. All of the sudden an eagle shows up, scares off the gulls, then swooped down and grabbed it!
