Weekend fishing report

I went out Friday with some friends and tried some new spots for crappie and found out the old spots were way better. We caught a few but not very good.

I went out again on Sunday for a few hours with some friends and caught a few hundred. We had our limit in a little over an hour between the three of us. There were a lot of nice ones in the 10 to 11 1/2 inch range with a dozen or so over 12 inches. There was definitely some bait preference. As soon as we ran out of one color we slowed down quite a bit.

Hi Ty,

What types of structure/depth were you fishing? I went out Sunday afternoon and I had a hard time locating them. I was using nail tails and mini mites in the bubble gum pink and yellow and white colors.

We were fishing them from six to nine foot of water in scattered weedbeds. We caught some of them on white mini mites and the rest on a bunch of different things.
