Back out on the water yesterday after Sundays rain out, and a dear friend and I found the walleye action to be very hot to say the least. Anchoring my boat in 7 feet of water and casting up on a 4 foot rocky shelf produced 8 walleye, 6 of which were very nice size. All this action occured in 20 minutes or so. Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fathead minnows did the trick on those future fishfrys. Will mention that while we were anchored on this spot, someone from Moronville came roaring by within 50 feet of us with his big rig, guess the bigger boats they have makes them that much dumber.
Oh well, anyway we spent the rest of the day working various cribs and shoreline timber in search or gills and perch and the action there was very slow. We managed just 4 perch and 1 crappie for our efforts.
No fishing today, work to be done on boat trailer.
Have a great day.
