Yesterdays walleye action once again remained very good, but not the same could be said for the panfish bite. My friend who was with me on Sunday and Monday decided to spend another day with me on the Flowage and it paid off very well as the walleye were waiting for our arrival. Working a shallow (4 ft.) point with plenty of wood and rock produced our limits of hefty eyes in just over half an hour. Despite the north winds, they were on a very good bite. The rest of the day was spent working weedy shorelines and a few cribs in search of active panfish and all we could come up with were smallmouth and more walleyes. Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads produced the morning eyes while the rest of the fish caught during the day were taken on jigs and 1/2 crawler.
Water temps ranged from 58 in the open areas to 62 in some of the shallow bays.
Back out again soon, will keep you posted.
