Walleye action yesterday was just like the temps, hot. Two good friends and I spent the day fighting the big waves as strong ssw winds were whipping all day and that made for very tough boat control. The strong winds and approaching cold front had the walleyes in a feeding frenzy. Shallow water and wood were the ticket as the eyes were real aggressive and on a very hot bite. At days end, we ended up with 3 jumbo perch and our limits of eyes that ranged from 15 to 24 inches, all on Reeves weedless jigs and fatheads.
Special note, ( LOST ) one wedding ring at Fisherman's Landing, old dummy me took off the ring and placed it on the gunnel of my boat to put on sunscreen, you guessed it, forgot it and didn't notice it till later, could be near the dock or who knows where.
No fishing today, giving my sunburn head a break.
