Fished the North End for Catfish again Friday afternoon from 4pm through Saturday around 1pm (stayed out overnight and napped while soaking cut bait with alarms on the reels). For all my efforts I only caught one. 30 inches...I'm guessing 15-18 pounds or so. Only caught 2 in about 30-35 hours of soaking cut bait around the rock piles and shallows of Six Mile Creek and the Yahara. Anyone picking up more than one big cat a trip? Also anyone had any luck on big northern? I'm always keeping a big live sucker or shiner out while catfishing just in case. I'll throw a spinner bait or Ratl Trap if I'm bored at times up there as well...any other species about that making throwing artificials in the catfish haunts of the Yahara river shallows or is it mostly a waste of time?
Good luck and tight lines to all!
