Hi everyone,
Took a father and son staying at R&R Bayview resort out for a full day today. the fishing was very slow for most of the day. Not only for walleyes, but everything had lock jaw in the morning. The afternoon things picked up and by the end of the day we had boated 7 different species of fish. Only 1 walleye was boated and we lost 2 at the boat. But the northerns,sm. bass,crappies,perch, a warmouth, and dozens of bluegills kept us busy and with the weather clearing up, we ended up having a very productive day.
We caught everything on jigs and leeches under very windy and cool conditions for most of the day. When the temps warmed up, and the sun was out, the fishing got better. What we need is a more stable weather pattern and that is what is predicted, so I look forward to an improved walleye bite. Good luck fishing everyone.
