Fishing has been excellent on Lake Mendota!
Perch and Bluegills can be caught in 8'- 14' around Gov. Inland, Hatch Cover, Second & Picnic PTs. using crawlers, trout, leaf and red worms on a split shot rig, slip bobber or Cubbies.
Smallmouth on the deep weed edges 12' -15' and drop offs 18' -25' around Maple Bluff, Second PT. Gov. Inland, using split shot rigged/lindy rigged leeches/crawlers.
Pike can be caught around the same area as bass in 15 to 25 fow with lindy rigged suckers.
