Hi everyone,
Got out for a couple hours today. With the sun shinning brightly with a NW wind that steadily got stronger, I had a good time catching walleyes, sm bass, bluegill and crappies. Caught 6 walleyes all between 12" -17" and released everything. Caught 2 walleyes on slip bobber rigs and the rest jigging and all on leeches and everything out on the woody humps. Did not try any weeds, so can't really say if the weed walleye bite is happening now or not.
My leadfree jigs are performing great with no noticeable difference between using them or leadheads. the only noticeable difference is that the leadfree are bigger for their size, but I think that slows the drop rate which is a good thing. If you are in need of a guide, give me a call. I provide my new jigs free to all my clients and the feed back so far has been very positive and so has he catch rate. The walleyes have been on a very positive bite lately. Good luck fishing everyone.
