For those of you who enjoy chasing walleye on Lake St.Clair, now is the time to be out there doing your thing. The walleye action is red hot and have not seen it this good in a long time. Good healthy size fish and limits each day are what you can expect. We hit them hard this past Sat/Sun and off the water by noon with double digit catches. Sat was on fire until we ran out of bait....bring plenty as the little perch will get there fill. Stick with bottom bouncers or in lines to get you in the game. The bird boards also help get extra rods out and also cover the rest of the water column. Crawler harness in natural perch with green back and copper and red/orange have been our favorites, but have reports of lots of other colors. Working from can 25/26 to the firecracker has been our location, covering the Canadian side of the channel but in U.S. waters. Get out during the week and avoid the crowd because the boats will be there! Speeds of 1.4-1.8 has been what works for us. Get out there while the fishing is good.
