Hey all, I'm new to this forum and will be comming to Gladstone next week. I am wondering if anyone can point me to any decent shore fishing around the area. Not picky on what there is to catch as long as it swims. Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.

Your two best bets would be the fishing pier at the mouth of The Gladstone harbor, and all around the Escanaba harbor.
They mostly catch perch and rockbass off the Gladstone pier, but they also run into a fair number of smallmouth, and an occasional pike or walleye.
You can fish from shore just about anywhere in the Escanaba harbor and have a fair chance of catching fish. There are a couple fishing platforms, plus the boat docks, to fish from as well, (you just have to stay off the smaller finger docks that the boats are tied to.) Lots of small panfish and pike in there.
