Hi everyone,
Guided a husband and wife-Chris and Sandy out of Timberlake resort yesterday for a half day. With a gorgeous sunny sky and a nice walleye chop from a west wind, we fished hard, but found fishing to be tough. We did boat 6 walleyes keeping two-16" and a 15". A lot of smaller bluegills and some Lm bass and some Sm bass releasing them.
We caught all the fish on jigs and leeches with the bobber rig not producing anything. Caught most fish out over the woody humps but had a lot of success fishing a shallower bar that has wood, weeds, and rock. Just maybe the weed walleye pattern will start to kick in soon. That will be determined by the forage factor.
The water temps have cooled down to 75 degrees and I expect the walleyes to put on the feed bag. If you want to go on a walleye hunt, give me a call and we will see if the big mama's want to come out and play. Good luck fishing everyone.
