Hi everyone,
Guided Eric and Matt today for a half day. Picked them up at the "CC" north boat landing in the A.M. Started out foggy and heavy overcast with very little wind from the south west as we headed out. The conditions seemed right but the fish thought otherwise. We did catch a walleye at our first spot, a small 10"er by Matt. Turns out his first ever walleye so a quick picture was snapped. We wound up with only one more walleye in the boat, a small one released and several bluegills and a good number of Sm. bass and a few perch. Turns out that Matt had caught his first ever Sm. bass so it was a good day for him. The day ended abruptly as a thunderstorm swept in and chased us off the water.
Caught most fish jigging with leeches with a couple fish on the slip bobber rig and a leech fishing woody humps. There are a lot of mud bogs floating around. Something to watch for on your adventure out on the Big Chip. Good luck fishing everyone.
