I am thinking of buying a trolling plate for my 50h 4stroke and wondering if anyone has used one and what kind is the better to get..Thanks for any advise...

Hi No Catch, I have used this brand with success and in fact they have a newer model that splits in half to remedy torn apart plates if you forgot to raise when taking off full boar...

I had the kind Cabelas sells, tough plastic. It broke off one day on the trailer ride home. Now I use a trolling/drift bag. Couldn't be happier, for the best control you have to tie the back of the bag to the back of the boat. Front to the front/back to the back
