Hi everyone,
Guided Scott and Margo for a half day yesterday. Starting out with a heavy cloudy sky that threatened rain but never did with a nice walleye chop from a South wind we fished hard for the fish we caught. But the hard work paid off as they brought home fillets from walleye, crappie, perch, and bluegills. Margo also released two nice smallies she caught back to back.
Most fish were caught on jigs and leeches with crappie on slip bobber and minnows. We continue to fish the wody humps and every where we went we saw bugs floating by laying their eggs. there was a big hatch the night before and the bugs were back on the surface of the water laying their eggs to complete their life cycle. Makes for tough fishing but not impossible. the water temps were down to 72 degrees and the sun came out just before we had to go and the air temps soared into the 80's. Good luck fishing everyone.
