Hey Guys,
I will need to replace the transom on my 19 foot Yarcraft and I am looking for some advice. Has anyone used the pour-able products like Seacast themselves? I am contemplating doing that myself or a more likely option having the repair done professionally. Considering going the whole route to restoration with new Gelcoat etc. if I go professionally.
Now, who locally would you consider or if we must travel where would you go for this work?
Any experience with Dockside?
Bingham boat works?
Others in Marquette area?
What about Escanaba or Menominee?
Any thoughts or experiences appreciated.
I like how my old Yarcraft handles the big water and is still OK for inland lakes. I know this kind of repair does not come cheap but looking at the price of new or newer boats I think this is likely an option I would choose.
Thanks for your input.
Lloyd
