Last week on Lake Geneva we found the smallmouth bass bite was just outstanding with the stable weather. Our catch has been mostly smallmouth, with a few largemouth bass, pike, and lots of rock bass and pan fish, just off the outside weed lines in 18-25 ft. around main lake points or along deeper rocky break lines. Water temps remain in the middle to low seventy degree range. The best presentation has been live bait rigs, 1/8th to ¼ oz swim jig, and Carolina rig with pumpkinseed lizard type plastics.
