Hi everyone,

Guided Mike and Jeff out of Trelands resort for a half day. With cold front conditions making for tough fishing, we set out for walleyes. Working hard we managed a respectable catch of 6 walleyes, a bunch of bluegill, some crapppies and some small perch with oddly enough only 1 very small smallie. Only one walleye was kept, but the real prize for the day was a 26 1/2'er that was released.

Caught most of the fish jigging with leeches while a few fish especially the crappies were caught on the slip bobber rigs baited with minnows. the air temps were moderate to begin with, but sweatshirts were in order by evening. The water temps remain high for this time of year at 77 degrees and the wind which was very light to start with kicked up from the northwest to make a moderate walleye chop. the leaves are starting to turn more and more everyday now so plan your trip 'up north' soon. Good luck fishing everyone.
