Hi everyone,
Got out for a few hours yesterday afternoon. the skies were clearing and I could feel the air temps dropping. the water temps were 66 degres, down from the day before. Fall is on the way. This morning the air temps were 38 degrees. I wound up working hard for the few fish I caught. Crappies were every where but small and I caught 1 small walleye and a handfull of bluegills, perch and even some LGM bass- all small. Caught everything on either jig and minnow or slip bobber baited with crawlers in the deep wood. I did fish a few weed areas, but nothing there.
The bugs are still hatching. Even with the cooler air temps there were oodles of bugs coming out of the water and clinging to every thing in the boat including me. It was an eerie sight. I sat there and just watched it happening for about 5 minuets then decided it was time to go home. Good luck fishing everyone.
