Hi everyone,

Guided Steve for a half day out of Treelands resort this afternoon. Greeted with a brisk North wind and air temps in the low 50's, we set out on our hunt for walleyes and panfish. With the water temps falling to 60 degrees we found the fishing very tough. But Steve proved he was a gamer as we fished hard and wound up with about a dozen bluegills keeping 8, a perch and rock bass and that was it. The walleyes successfully avoided our jigs and leeches and jigs and minnows. They also were able to resist our slip bobbers with leeches and minnows. We fished mainly woody humps and bars losing a few lead free jigs in the process.

The weather ran the gambit of rain, sleet, high winds, then it just blew away and cleared up and the wind just died to nothing for the last hour. Wisconsin weather- if you don't like it, wait 5 minuets, it'll change. As we fished in that last hour after the wind died, we saw a lot of bugs coming back to lay thier eggs in the water. The bug hatches are continuing which is good and bad news. it makes for tough fishing, but also is fattening up the fish for the fall run. If you want to chase some cold weather walleyes, give me call. we'll hunt some up. Good luck fishing everyone.
