The weatherman called for temps in the low 70's and winds from the northeast at 5-7 so Kay and I decided to give it a go before the cold front comes in for the weekend. Launched at Chester a little before 10 am and headed down river towards the lake. Took some fatheads and crawlers along to pull some flies but deciced to pull some cranks along the edge of the river channel first. It turned out to be a good choice. By 1:30 we boated three slot walleyes at: 20 1/2, 21, and 22 inches, six keepers: one 17 1/2", one 18", two 18 1/2" one 18 3/4", and one at 19 1/4", and I stopped counting at 30 "shorties". Two nice 13 inch crappies, and fourteen 12+" white bass that will be in the smoker on Thursday. We never did put the live bait in the water, but tomorrow is another day.;)
This is a great time to get out and try the late fall action.:)
Photos in the album.

Keep a tight line!!!
