Yooper groupers!

I figure that fall smallmouth fishing on the bay is as close as I'm ever going to get to saltwater fishing for grouper ;)

So far, I haven't been able to get on the numbers here like they've been getting over on Big Bay, but you can't knock the Little Bay fish for average size! Stuck two 20's and a 21 tonight! My last fish was one of the 20's, but it outweighed the 21! She easily qualified for "toad" status!

Forgot to mention - the channel markers have been pulled from the Escanaba River. The deeper river channel runs along the south side of the river, (same side as the launch.) Stay out at least one boat length from the visible pilings along the river channel. Go out into the lake at least 50 yards past the last visible pilings at the river mouth before turning north or south.
