What a beautiful day on "The Rock". I just could not pass up a day like this in late November. Kay and I left the launch at noon and the temperature was 54 degrees and there was absolutly no wind at all. We fished dead rods in the submerged timber along the old river channel with small fatheads and redworms. We were back at the launch at 3 pm boated 2 "keepers", 6 "shorties", 3 crappies, and 9 perch.;) (Photos in the album).
More than likely the last trip for the year. I and my clients had a great year and the totals of fish caught reflect that. I will have the results in my monthly column in the January issue of MidWest Outdoors Magazine, Wisconsin Section, and on this board after the new year.
2013 and beyond should be exceptional years for walleye anglers. We are catching walleyes from 6" to 14" in unbeleivable numbers on Castle Rock and Petenwell. The "Slot" works, I for one hope it never goes away.
A big THANKS to all that shared the boat with me this past spring, summer, and fall.
Have a great holiday season, see you at the Madison Fishing Expo in February.:)
Keep a tight line!!!
