I was wondering what depth range the Phantom Soft Tail jerk/glide bait works at? Can you use it in shallow water (less than 8ft) as well as deeper water (12ft- 15ft)? Basically just wondering what depth ranges this can be run at?

For the most part the Phantom Soft tail goes in the 1 to 5 foot depths. I guess you can use your own judgement from there. I think in clear water fish will travel more so you can fish it over a little deeper water if it's clear. It also depends on baitfish as well. Suspending baitfish lakes will be ideal for the Phantom Softtail as you can fish above the baitfish schools with good results.

Phantom softail is a great bait but if I want to fish really shallow (1-3') try a Hellhound. Hellhounds seem to sink slower than a Phantom but you can always hold your rod tip higher with the Phantoms and then lower it after a few twitches to keep it hanging up on shallow weeds. Both awesome baits.
