Hi everyone,
Under a sunny sky with the temps in the upper 20's, with little to no wind, it was an enjoyable day to be out on the ice. It was even more so with the fish as active as they were. They weren't overly aggresive, but were consistent. Had lots of marks coming in all the time. After 4 hours of fishing I was able to ice 33 perch and 6 walleyes releasing every fish I caught All the walleyes were small but most of the perch were big enough to keep. I fished my favorite lake in Vilas county because I wanted to fish for walleyes and the Big Chip walleyes are closed for the winter. I am field testing some new spinners that I designed and well, the numbers speak for themself. Good luck fishing everyone.
