Slow but sure we are starting to get some good ice. Some back areas have 7-9inches but most areas are 3-5inches and can change quickly. I know I have said it before watch out for strong southern winds it can blow a big patch of ice right out into the bay as some fisherman found out today off Red River County Park and had to be rescued (11 fisherman) nobody got hurt though.
We were out in some of our spots this weekend and the fish are there in large numbers but the wind came up and you could feel the ice roll under your feet - time to get out of there caught seven missed another 5or 6 in a short period of time.
Here are some pictures off the Stone Cory area I took this morning.
Hopefully the warm up later this week doesn't goof things up too bad. We get a few more nights in the single digits and freezing during the day and we will have safe ice.
