Based on Ty's response to your question on his site, I would say be very careful. In fact after his dissertation on safe areas to drive, he really didn't have many recommendations at all...

Hi pjadeitz,
Driving a truck out on the Big Chip is never a good idea. To many current areas. Use a wheeler or snowmobile and stay close to the trail. It's a big lake and takes time to learn where it is safe. Be safe and have fun and good luck fishing.
