FISHING REPORT
Crappie:
Crappie action is best in late afternoon into evening hours. Use your flasher/electronics to locate the fish and check the entire water column. Drill numerous holes and move until you find the schools suspending over weeds and/or over deeper water in depths from 8-25 feet. Bait choices include crappie minnows, rosy reds, waxies, plastics, and Gulp! baits on small jigs, plain hooks, and tip-downs. Downsize tackle to increase success.

Bluegill:
Bluegill fishing is good on most waters, with fish holding near weeds, wood, cribs, and with crappies, in a wide variety of depths, from 6-30 feet. Tip small jigs, teardrops, and plain hooks with waxies, spikes, plastics, and Gulp! baits with light line and tackle.

Perch:
Perch anglers are finding some good action, particularly on the deep, clear lakes. Top baits and presentations include fathead and crappie minnows, waxies, spikes, and plastics on small jigs and jigging spoons, or tip-downs with small trebles – and all with light line. Work your baits close to the bottom near weeds and on mud flats in 6-20 feet of water.
