well, we didn't get the foot of snow like the weather center predicted but the long term forecast looks pretty cold. So far we only have a couple inches of snow from yesterday's storm but it's still snowing now. I'd guess whoever guessed April 25-May 1st or 2nd might have the right date for the ice out contest. I haven't drilled any holes in the ice in a few weeks but I'd guess there is still at least twenty inches of ice.

No chance. I ice fished last week for the last time and there was still 24 inches of ice. Sorry I think you lose.

You may have a slight chance if the nutjob from North Korea launches a nuclear missile at northwest Wisconsin sometime today. Otherwise no chance whatsoever. :)
