Well, the banquet was last night and I had a great time. What a great event to just relax and have fun with fellow club members. The dinner that Lino's served was very tasteful and there was plenty of food to go around. There were 35 people in attendance and the room was perfect for that size crowd.
Tim Scruggs did a nice job handing out the awards. It was the culmination of all the entries he collected throughout last season, which is a lot of work. We thank you. Larry Ohda was the winner of the Members Only 50/50 Raffle. Next year's raffle should be even bigger as the rules have changed to allow more entries to be collected determined by the fish's length.
Some great silent auction packages were sold and many door prizes were given away. Prizes were donated by Flatlanders Jerry Oestriech, Gerry's Girl Baits the Rockford Park District and Tim Scruggs. We thank you all for supporting our efforts and adding to the banquet's success.
Steve Cerutti was the proud recipient of the annual skunk award and was a good sport about it. Dan Savitch took home the Lifetime Achievement Skunk Award for his efforts in NOT catching or harming muskies over the years. Good job Dan.
