Jeff from Onalaska joined me this morning on "The Rock". Bite was really slow, but the weather was nice. Mid to upper 70's, full sun and not a whisper of wind, it was hot out there. Big turnaround from last Friday. They closed all the gates at the dams so the river is not running at 6-7 miles per hour, but the lake is really dirty from the high water. Lot of junk floating, hard to keep the baits clean while trolling. Water temp was 65 when we left the lake at 1 pm. We finished with 8 "shorties", 1 crappie, 1 small northern, and 1 Buffalo.
