Hi everyone,
First off I would like to say THANK YOU to all the veterans on this Memorial day.
Had an action day today with two very good fisherman. Guided Darren and Jerome for a full day and were kept busy by the walleyes. We boated 21 walleyes and lost twice that. Most bites were super light and then one would smash the jig and minnow. All the walleyes were released so we kept the three crappies we caught. We rounded out the day with a huge rock bass that was released.
The weather threatened to rain with heavy clouds most of the day with a very stiff SE wind making for rough seas. That kept the air temps down in the 50's. The water temps went down to 58 degrees. We keyed in on the wood again on humps flats and even in the basin areas. Doing so we lost a lot of jigs. That's why I provide lead-free jigs to my clients. Good luck fishing everyone.
