Hi Ty, we hit the chip hard from 7:30am to 4pm Saturday June 8th with son Michael and our buddy Kurt Kroening who has a place on Spider. We tried the slightly weedy shoreline in the bay on the other side of the Treelands tiny channel, hit the grassy island in this bay as well. Did not see a fish, the other boat fishing the south shoreline where there is some weed growth didn't see anything either. Next was Hay's bay - saw one muskie porpouse on the hump next to the bog. Had one pike by the bog, very weak strike near the boat. Hit Hay's creek hard but again did not see a fish. Saw one muskie sunning itself on a rocky point next to stump sticking out on the south side of the island on the south end of Hay's bay. Hit the first bay again where we could see weed growth, nothing. There were not less than 5 boats in the shallows in this bay, maybe crappie fishing. Hit several spots in musky bay including the length of the creek, still nothing. I guess we need a couple more lessons from Master Ty :D Michael kept saying, "what would Ty do"? We tried every bait we had, ghost tails, rabid squirrels, 6" slammer, 2 or 3 spinners, in classic chip colors, warlock, even through a pro-mag-dog in sucker pattern and 2 colors of cowgirls. Let us know how you did this weekend. Looking forward to Sunday June 15th for another dads day outing with you!
