Hi everyone,
Guided Russ and Dave out of Deerfoot resort for a half day yesterday. We began our adventure in the late afternoon with abundant sunshine and warm air temps in the 70's and a very light SE wind. We fished mainly woody humps with lead-free jigs tipped with minnows and leeches catching a lot of fish split eevenly between the two baits.
We released 8 walleyes and 4 knucklehead northerns keeping 6 crappies and 2 perch letting a lot of each go. They had a good mess of fillets for a decent fish fry and learnrd a lot of good spots to fish while they are here. The water temps were still at 71 degrees and people are now starting to waterski everywhere. Time for water sports. We can all share the resource if we are respectfull of each other. Good luck fishing everyone.
