On June 19th I had Bill and his son's out for an 8 hour trip and we did not do well at all. We hit some good stuff but couldn't get things going. Mathew(Bill's son) pitched hard for eight straight hours without one complaint. He's 11 years old. Pretty impressive. He even pitched a Bulldawg for a while. I really liked fishing with him. Talk about focused.
At night on the 19th I fished smallmouth bass and walleye with John Straple and we caught some but it wasn't great. The largest smallmouth was about 18 inches. We did stop and fish muskies at two spots and I missed one on a Pacemaker. Pretty weak hit but I almost got it. Looked to be low forty inch.
Yesterday I had a trip in the afternoon and one scheduled for the evening. We didn't see anything in the afternoon until the last fifteen minutes where I missed one on a Cowgirl and Bill had one follow his Pacemaker. The night trip got stormed out.
Water temps are in the low 70's
