I was going out regularly at the beginning of the month and getting some walleyes in 10-15 feet of water trolling crank baits. The bite started to slow down and my fishing trips have reduced as well. Wondering if anyone knows if you can still have luck out there with walleyes or if its time to move on to perch until fall. Is there better luck in the deep parts of the bay? Maybe with a different technique?

Pretty normal for this time of the year. Alewives have moved into the bay to spawn, and the large mayfly hatches will start any time. There's so much natural food in the water, it's tough to compete with it all. Walleye fishing usually starts to pick up again in late July.
