Chasing bucktails

Laura says the old man and myself can't come up until the last week in august or first week in September. Days will be shorter which kinda bums me out, but the old man will probably appreciate it. Never made the trip that late in the year. Are the fish normally still up shallow willing to chase bucktails and topwater? Is there a lot of pressure over labor day?

No guarantees, but probably still a Cowgirl bite. All based on the weather and of course, the fish.
No substantial pressure increase over the holiday. More walleye guys around than musky this time of year.
