Hi everyone,
I've been a jig fisherman for walleyes as long as I can remember and always thought there should be a better jig design then the old standby jig we all know and love. In my quest to make lead-free jigs and spinners, I stumbled onto a great idea for just that-a better designed jig. It's an "inline" jig that you tie onto the front with a bullet shaped head, an attractor bead, an offset sticky sharp hook, and a quality paint job with a U.V. blast top coat that reflects U.V. light in dark and dingy water as well as deep water.
All the components I use to manufacture this newly designd jig are made in the U.S.A. and I manufacture these new wave jigs right here in northern Wisconsin. Perhaps best of all is the fact that the jigs are 100% lead-free and non-toxic including the paint which is a water base paint but tough as nails.
I call my newly designed jig the "PROgressive Jig". The versitility of the innovative new head design allows a fisherman to work the PROgressive Jig in many different ways. While jigging on the bottom, your jigging motion, lifts the jig and prevents a lot of hang ups on snags. I fish deep wood cover for walleyes and do lose a few, but not nearly like the old jig head design.
The versitility of the PROgressive Jig allows you to use artificial minnow and worm bodies effectively. With the bullet head design, rigging a worm Texas style allows it to be worked through weeds without getting hung up as often. Using a minnow imitating body allows you to work the PROgressive jig as you would a swim bait or even like a crank bait. Work the PROgressive jig rigged with a minnow body over, around and through weeds to effectively root out the bass and walleyes feeding there.
I have been field testing the PROgressive jig intensively with my guiding clients all this season and found it to be extremely effective on all species of fresh water fish. As the pictures show, We've caught walleyes,LGM bass, SM bass, northern pike, perch, crappies, and even bluegills. Tip it with artificials or live bait such as minnows, leeches, or crawlers. You will be amazed at the versitility of the "PROgressiveJig"
