Launching the boat in 48 degree air temps is something we all have done but not in July or August!! lol
Esox fishing continues to be slow in my boat so I am taking a couple weeks off to finish up some projects and fish some different water. Current water temps here are between 70 (dam temp) and 68 (south of Warren temp) depending on which section. 3 weeks ago, 'south of Warren temps' were 77!
For the first time in 20 years worth of summers, the water coming out of the dam is warmer than the water coming in from the NY watershed (aka Conewango Creek). Strange stuff indeed. Low water and tons of food are not helping either. Bass fishing is still pretty solid (as of 3 days ago) as we landed 23 smallies ranging between 1 and 3.5 pounds.
