Hi everyone,
Fished yesterday afternoon with my bud Jamie and his 12 year old son Jakob. It was a gorgeous day with lots of sunshine and air temps in the 80's, but the strong west wind kept it comfortable. It was a good day for water sports and we saw plenty of that. The fishing however remained slow. In the few hours we were out we boated 4 walleyes all small and had lots of 'light' hits. Saw tons of bug casings again so the fish are all well fed. But that does make for a fat healty fishery. Using my new lead-free PROgressive jig in the deep wood we landed 2 waalleyes on minnows and 2 on leeches. A horse apiece I quess.
Heard at D&B bait shop of a 521/2" musky caught in the Big Chip. So they're out there. Keep plugging away. Good luck fishing everyone.
