Doug from Harwood Heights, IL booked a morning trip on "Pete". Doug is relatively new to fishing and had never used planer boards before. We launched at the County Park at 6:30 with a beautiful sunrise to greet us. The air temp was in the low 60's so it was a brisk ride heading north. We trolled Shad Raps and Flicker Shads in 8-12 feet of water at 1.8-2.1 mph. All our fish came in the top six feet of the water column. We ended at 11 am with 6 "keepers", 7 "shorties", 1 in the slot, 2 largemouth bass, 4 white bass, 6 sheep head, and 5 cat that Doug wanted for the smoker.:cool:
