Hi everyone,

Very tough day on the water yesterday. Not only catching fish, but also dealing with hurricane winds. Air temps were in the high 70's with a clear sky, and winds blowing at ludicrus speeds out of the South. Could not fish where I wanted, because of the white caps, but where I could and of course everyone else is there too.

But using PROaggressive jigs tipped with minnows in the mid depth to deep wood, we were able to scrounge out a meager few fish with two walleyes keeping one and keeping one crappie. The water temps are at 59 degrees and there were bugs flying all around us in that high wind in the afternoon trying to land on the water to lay there eggs but not having much luck. I think the wind blew them into the next county. Lots of natural food in the system. That should lead to good fishing once the water temps finally cool down. Good luck fishing everyone.
