I had a half day with four guys and thankfully they understood fishing because I'd say it was the worst day of ice fishing I've seen in a long time. We had crappie under us and couldn't get them to move at all. It was extremely frustrating. We fished four hours and didn't catch much at all. Not one keeper. It really didn't matter what we used. We tried everything. It was brutally cold and windy but the three eighth graders played outside most of the time. The dad and I didn't leave the shack much. Great guys and thank god they understood the whole fishing thing. Hard to believe the best day I've had all year is followed up by the worst but that's how it goes sometimes. I don't remember a time when you couldn't get a crappie to at least react to a bait. They didn't even chase the jigs upward. Just sat there.
